Innovative products designed to make your life easier!
Welcome to our website! This is my late husband, John Robinson. He was a retired contractor, husband, father, grandfather, not to mention creative inventor of the Bighorn Trash Hitch™, Bighorn Trash Hitch Piggyback™, and The Skimmer Butler™.
I am honored to continue what he started, and share John's story in his own words. I hope you enjoy reading how it all began!

When I was younger it wasn’t too much of a problem hauling heavy trash cans to the street, or bending down to remove the cover and retrieve the skimmer basket in my pool to clean it. But as I got older, the years of putting strain on my back, coupled with a “botched” hip replacement, a pacemaker, and 2 stints in my heart, these tasks became a real chore!! In fact, when it comes to the pool, I often threatened to fill it in with concrete and be done with it, but since my wife loves it so much I knew that wasn’t really an option!
I didn’t find anything on the market to resolve the problems, so I devised my own tools. After all, “necessity is the mother of invention”! And eventually, my wife encouraged me to form a new business and to have my designs patented and manufactured to sell.
We felt very strongly that these products be American-made, having every part manufactured in the U.S., and we are pleased to say that they are, and proudly display the “Made in America” logo!
The Skimmer Butler TM was the first product to hit the market. As for ease of use, The Skimmer Butler’s TM design not only allows you to remove the cover plate and skimmer basket without ever having to bend down, get on your knees, get your hands wet, OR risk touching whatever is lurking in the skimmer, but it will also allow you to replace both the basket AND cover plate even when it’s sitting on the flat surface of the pool deck!
I’ve also found many other handy uses for The Skimmer Butler TM like grabbing and retrieving a variety of objects that might be floating in the pool such vacuum lines, floating chemical dispensers, not to mention patio cushions, beach towels, and even patio chairs that may get blown into the pool, and I’m sure you will too as you “Let the Butler do it!”
Next, was the Bighorn Trash Hitch TM, which again was something I needed to design because with a bad back, it was extremely difficult to haul 3 (sometimes very heavy) trash cans down the 500 foot driveway leading from my shop to the street for pickup.
The design of the Bighorn Trash Hitch TM went through many stages, starting with a fork that I bought knowing that my wife would not appreciate my messing with any of hers! I bent that fork using the idea that came to me back in August of 2017 at 4:30 in the morning!
From there, it took lots of trial and error, but the end result is an easy to use hitch, with no moving parts to wear out, that anyone can use! And together with the companion piece, the Bighorn Trash Hitch TM Piggyback, which allows up to 3 trash carts to be towed at one time, I am confident that like me, your life will be made easier!
